I dropped my camera yesterday and both it and the lens smashed. I've decided that rather than replace them I would just quit this hobby altogether and find a new hobby. I don't know what yet, but from here on in, I'll have no need of this wesite. It was good while it lasted, though, but nothing is forever.
I just wanted to leave this note so that some of you wouldn't wonder what has become of me. I'm alright, it's just time for something different.
Some folks here may be a bit sad to hear this news, some folks will be happy (I know who your are). Most folks won't care. :-P

Slippy, you'll have to work a little harder on your April Fool's jokes.
Now, if you'd posted that you got selected by NASA to shoot their Mars mission, you might've had a better shot. :P

That story really got to me. Could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. I'm not sure we could survive without you. I came into a little money on Friday, so I just ordered a 5D and 85mm f/1.8 for you. I put overnight delivery on it, so it should be there tomorrow.
Only one problem; being unsure of where you live, I've had it delivered to Joey Lawrence; HIS address I happen to know, and I know you're relatively close to him. If you hook up with him tomorrow afternoon, he should have your Camera and Lens for you.
Pay it forward when you get a chance.

you know i almost felt sorry for you for droping your camera, i know ive done it before and thank god everyone keeps reminding me its april fools so i didnt get all sappy and say you shouldnt leave. Maybe we should think of new hobbies for him...
