For those new to this site and anyone interested, I compiled every major thread I could find involving the discussion of post-processing (current rules, proposed changes, philosophy).
The sole purpose of this thread is for it to be a gateway to these past discussions, instead of having to scroll back through endless forum topics (as I just did). If someone unknowingly brings this topic up they can easily be pointed to this thread for reference, in order to help them understand that this goes back a ways, and also to keep them from restating a good deal that has already been said.
I am not proposing an end to this discussion. I'm merely helping to draw a line so that the next time this comes up we can avoid starting from the beginning. I still encourage people to share their opinions and insights.
It is also fun to see the number of threads about this and in the order they occurred. So if you have more than a few hours to spare, let's take a look back at the great history of this discussion :)

Might I say this //www.dpchallenge.com/poll_results.php?POLL_ID=26 is a result of the last series of threads on the matter. |
