Any fugi 602z owners got tips for fireworks? wanna shoot some tonight for canada day! woh hoo

Not a fuji owner, but I can give you a few tips, does your camera have manual functions? It will take much better shots if it does.
Assuming it does, use a tripod and a shutter release, set your camera on bulb exposure at f8, ISO at 100 or lower to reduce noise, and expose for between 4 and how ever many seconds the firework is showing. If you do not have manual capabilities still use a tripod and see what happens, you might be able to get something descent. Good luck! Our fireworks are on the forth here in the USA, maybe we can share our shots :)

my iso is lowest 160 and yes it does have manual and i am bringing my tripod

As your shooting, take note of the wind. If there is none, or very little, then smoke from the fireworks will obscure some of your shots.

You can minimize this to some extent if your are able to stay upwind of the display.
