not sure i understand the disqualification...based on date in camera???
03/02/2007 10:56:08 PM · #1402
when hanae moved from japan to england, she didn't reset her time. for most of the time, that wouldn't matter, BUT if she was shooting near the "ends," it would produce a date that was off. specifically, the time was off by a couple of hours.

talk about a painful one to have to vote on. ouchie.

hang in there, hanae. you've got a ribbon coming soon, i can "feel" it!!!

Oooooh my heart goes out to Hanae. I'm so sorry about your dq sister - that is such a bummer. At least you can rest assured that we all know it was an honest mistake. Hang in there - it happens. Try try again!

I just posted my RED shot. Boring & predictable but clean & not completely w/out interest so hopefully it'll garner a 5.8 to 6.1.

my furniture shot is in. It is a departure from my "normal" post processing steps, so I don't know. I kinda like it, but I can see the voters not. I guess we'll know in a few hours.

I'm in too. I seem to have relied heavily on PP this time round. Not sure it's done me any favours either, but the light just wouldn't cooperate.

Keeping my fingers crossed for us! We'll see what happens shortly...

Ohhh - hang tight sister....a bummer. At least wait a bit to see what happens - you never know when you're going to creep up and if you dq then you'll miss it. Please consider giving it a couple of days to let the initial disappointment fade to make sure it's what you really want to do. I've never self dq'd either although I have considered it - definitely not something to do lightly. Hang in there!

Jude, my very first vote rec'd was 4 and my heart just sank... but now the score is 6.1 (though, down from a high of 6.4 thanks to a lot of drive-by AND commentless 3s and 4s today).

Has your score improved today?
03/06/2007 04:05:25 PM · #1419
nope i am at a 4.3 but the few comments i have are right, the exposure is weird. i put in a red for grins.

Well, at least folk are telling you what the problem is. If you've learned anything, then it's worth staying in the game...

I shot for Red, but I seriously don't think I've got anything that will top the 6.1 I have in Furniture, so I'll sit that one out.

On to Circles!

i got some worthless comments for acro but these for furniture have been right on. i always appreciate the comments i get.
03/07/2007 03:19:17 PM · #1422
i put in a red thinking it would totally bomb, but it is holding steady around 4.49 to 5.51. go figure.
03/07/2007 10:20:56 PM · #1423
i posted a red that is at 4.5....kind of sucks like my furniture. i hope all the team mates that we havent heard from for a while entered as i am dragging us down!

I think these challenges are way too low in voting.. we know that the WPL does have a small affect on voting but sometimes it is uncanny really... I have looked through the red2 challenge and while some are quite bad there are a lot if not 60% that deserve higher than a 5.

AND NOW... to make my life even worse right now, I have to wear a bloody dress and make^up again......
