I'm getting ready to hit our nation's capital area for a few days. I'm posting a few photos ahead to try to stay abreast of this challenge.
I like playing with textures, this piece is no great shakes. But I had fun playing and getting out into one of our only mini snow storms so far this season.

I like crafts and I've bounced from one to another for many years. I've been hooked on stained glass for about 3 years. Here is a design that I created and crafted too.
Usually the stained glass looks so pretty with that pretty white stuff covering the trees and background stuff ... no luck so far. So ... this is the best I could do without Mother Nature's help.

AUSTRALIA, NSW, PICTON ...
i'm hoping that my internet will be fixed in 2 or 3 days ... its such a pain having to use other ppl's computers to do dpc stuff ... its hard doing everything i want to do when i've only got very limited time ..
we went to Darling Harbour yesterday because i'm hoping to meet other dpc ppl at the sydney gtg on thurs 22nd and wanted to go there first and find the parking place etc so i wouldnt get lost on thursday ...
its an unreal place to take photographs ... so i'm putting two in for today and two in for tomorrow coz i dont think i'll get to use internet then .. all of them were taken at Darling Harbour ...

I'm kinda caught up on commenting. If I've left you suggestions for photoshopping and that offends you, just ignore me. :-)
Here are some shots from yesterday's Fastnacht (or Fasching, depending on who you ask) parade. The Saturday parade is the Children's parade. Very well attended, and I discovered that it's tough to get pictures if you're short! I'd generally sneak through to the road and take shots from a lower level. Saw lots of cameras and cool lenses out and about, too.

George lives in my backyard. He likes to make me walk out into the pasture and get his bucket. He particularly likes to do this when it is really muddy but icy and "slick as snot" (my wife's favorite saying) will also do.

Day 18,
this is a Dairy farm right at the edge of town. Not a great shot but i think its a neat setting. I was standing in the last Street in town when it took the shot. Kind of shows that we are a farming comunity.

Day 18 -- San Antonio
The Not so Pretty Side of our City.
Sadly, there is a huge huge homeless problem in San Antonio. My heart goes out to their plight so much! Our church goes to a place downtown and feeds hundreds of them every Friday night. I talk to them and try to offer some company and a little cash whenever I'm in a position to do that.
