Day 16 Sprintfield, Mo

Took this shot yesturday on the way to work. This mural is painted on an old building just about a block west of the city square. Its a bad angle and the cars distract, but i was late and it was cold.

Digging into last week's stock for this - the Chicago River.



I think it was minus 6 F that day, which was better than -10 that Monday. I was amazed that the birds were content to sit there on the ice.

Ok my son is finally out of the woods so I can concentrate on everything else :) :)

anyway I hope Im ok to do a little catch up, I have a few days to make up for. Most of my shots arn't anywhere near as good as some in here but what the hey :)

Oh - and I learned from my neighbor that the tower is an old water tower. It's now used as an art museum in the summertime.

Took a bunch of pictures in the city center today, so will probably be using a few of those over the next few days, though I'll still try to shoot new ones, too, even if not in the city center (getting into the "city" takes far too long for how close it is, so I don't go there very often; not enough, actually!).

Link with a history of the building is on the photo page.

I can't believe I've kept up with photos for this project; it's great fun shooting, processing, and looking at all the new shots from everyone else each day!

Now, I have a dilema. I am moving from Chicago back to Europe at the end of April. I am leaving on Monday Feb 19th to Europe and will be there for the remainder of this challenge.

So, shall I shoot 14 pictures in Chicago before I leave? Or, shoot "Where I will be living in May" for the rest of this challenge? I'm not sure.

Shoot where you are at the time! Will make for a very interesting collection when you're done. Where in Europe are you moving to?

I'm moving to Finland! To a smallish city in the middle of the country. It will be a big change from the Chicago. I used to live in Helsinki, but this is a bit different..... (The things we do because of our jobs !)
