Day 8
It was supposed to snow here today; a lot. I see others in the UK got that snow (closed schools, for example). I was so looking forward to snow shots! Well, see for yourself.
Darnit!!!
I've enjoyed all of your pics, though!

Didn't have a car today to get out so here is an photo from two weeks ago that I had been wanting to post.
Hope you guys don't mind my bird pictures...to me, it is a good representation of where I live. We have so many different species of birds in Florida and I especially love to photograph them.
Anyways - Day 7 - Juvenile Brown Pelican at the Redington Beach, Fl. fishing pier. This guy was hanging out looking for handouts!

Had the most frustrating photography trip ever this morning. Heaviest snow in years, so I was obviously gonna get up early and go out in the countryside before work. Lots of frustrating things - saw my first otter in the canal, followed it with my long lens, focussing manually, v shallow dof because of the lack of decent light, but got it perfect, clicked the shutter and it was on self-timer! 2 seconds later got a nice picture of a riverbank and slight ripple. Then took a great picture of geese, only to realise i had manual WB button pressed, so the camera just taunted me with a preview and asked me if WB was right. Then I saw 2 woodpeckers in a nearby tree and my CF card was sat in my portable harddrive emptying itself. *sigh* And then to top it all off my bike got stolen, and then i realised I wasnt particularly pleased with any of my photos anyway!
Its been a long day...
But, much more importantly, pictures:
My day 8:
And, to demonstrate the brilliant stability of the british weather, heres todays shot at the same lake as Sundays. On Sunday I was wearing a T-shirt and actually feeling quite warm. Today I was wrapped up as much as I could be and couldn't feel my fingers. Oh, sometimes I worry about our climate. lol.

Day 8. I actually shot this one this morning. I didn't fudge today and post an old one.
Looking east from my front porch. I know the wires are ugly but hey, this is where I live. If I have to look at them, so do you! |

I promised more earlier, so here they are:
Details are with the images. I am going to have to skip out on making so many comments tonight, as I have only been getting a little sleep every night this week and it is showing. I will catch up with everyone soon, and thank you all for the generous comments. I am just trying to share a little warm and happy thru my snapshots, with everyone who needs it.
