Wow, definitely God-given talents... impressive. And to think I couldn't capture those kind of shots if God let me into heaven with my camera:-)
The music side really impressed me too.

Holy Cra - eh - I meant Wow !
That's amazing. I could spend the rest of my life trying and would probably
never get past a basic stick figure, never mind the musical talents.

No option to open, just to save. So I saved it but it only worked part way through.

Holy painting Batman! um, literally. I wish I was half the pseudo-self-taught photographer that she is of a painter.

now THAT is cool. "without faith, there is nothing"

Wow Wow~!
Def thanks to your for sharing the link..
That is simply AMAZING! God given for sure! It's amazing how she was brought up without talk of God in her home and He picked her to display such extraordinary beauty in her artwork.
I wish God would let me in Heaven with my 20D! |

She is really talented, but does her portrait of god look like Kenny Loggins to anybody else?

You're missing the point. Kenny Loggins IS God. |

She has mad skilz for a 12-year-old, that's for sure. Still, I am extremely put off by the commercialism of her web site. Want to read her poetry? The books are 30 bucks and 40 bucks, two-book minimum, case lots available.
"We cannot turn away from those who are hurt. That is why God wants me to show this."
If she really feels this way, why isn't she posting her poems, in particular, to the web so people can read them and be inspired by them? I believe she is being exploited and it bothers me.

Or maybe she is just making a lot of money and securing her future ?
Would (will) her work be impressive when she's 18, 30 ? If not, then she should be doing what is happening now, making hay while the sun shines.
There's also mention of significant charitable donations from the proceeds.

If you look at the gallery and click on the pictures, much of her poetry comes up. It also says that a substantial portion of proceeds goes to charity. But the site is definately slick and commercial.

Yes, I understand about the charity bit. But commercial exploitation of childhood talents still rubs me the wrong way, and it always has. I always wonder what's behind the scenes, you know? And the more so because this site so blatantly plays the "God card". It just doesn't feel right to me.
