I've only commented randomly so far...wasn't intentionally Nikon thing...though i'm happy to have found Waz's pic (still no idea which is yours, but glad I saw what you saw :))
it means nothing if you get one from me...i don't choose my favourites or the worst ones to comment on. I just comment when the mood strikes, so no offense if you don't get one. If I don't hit you during the challenge and you really want one, feel free to PM me and I'll give you my thoughts - be prepared though, I don't give fluffy comments, and i'm not always nice. but i AM honest. |

i think you hit it on the head right there - vote on the photo, not the model. it seems some are also getting punished for having used overly attractive models as well. at this rate all scores will end up exactly the same. ;) |

its because when someone sees an overly attractive model they think of porn. |

I've nothing against overly attractive (other than perhaps envy) if well-presented and not exploited - that goes for either gender. Does that make sense? |

Perfect sense....attractive is in the eye of the beholder anyway..good or bad male or female, tasteless gets marked down from me.
In my voting I am looking at it more as classic nude, then soft core and few have blurry boundaries, IMHO
btw...P-ness visited last night and commented...and I am neither canon nor nikonian ;) |

I had it pegged for 5.4 at best, but this is above my average so it's all good. I agree with the comments regarding a certain issue that I struggled with in editing so much that I plan to post the original after it's done just to get some specific post-processing advice/tips/tricks about it. I'm pleased with the 5.6, though, especially given its issues.

Perfect sense...again you're talking about the photo, not the model. a tasteless photo of ANYONE should be scored accordingly. The same should be said about a poorly lit one, an out of focus one, a poorly composed one...you get my point. I was actually criticized a few times because mine looked like it should be in a men's magazine. Dayum! That's what i WANTED it to look like...I'd be proud as heck if a magazine wanted to publish my stuff :) |

I think I am being voted low because of my model. Go figure ;) |

Hmmm i've got some good comments on my model (ehmm my wife), and some questions with the shot. Although this crappy wannabee photographer is always happy with those kind of comments :-) |

OK, I'm off to comment, if anyone sees a comment from me, I'm NOT voting. I don't vote in challenges I participate in, but I will leave an honest opinion on your image, please do NOT PM me until AFTER the competition if you do not agree with my comments.

not to sidetrack too far from the topic, but I actually have been quite a bit in the last year or so - one of the fitness mag publishers decided he likes my stuff so I've been in Oxygen, Musclemag, American Curves, Flex, and a few local mags as well. Granted a lot of that has to do with my model...she's high in demand in that industry (no, I didn't use her for this challenge :)) |

Just finished voting. I think it takes a lot of creativity to shoot a nude picture. A human body is such a familiar shape and to portray it in a different light without too much help from clothes and accessories is a daunting proposition. Cheers to all those who tried |
