Open statement to the person that left this comment on my shot :
10/16/2002 (10:46:00 PM) - Don't find this funny - and that's what you had to have in mind
To the first part, neither do I, to the second part, your mistaken, that wasn't what I was saying...
Your entitle to your opinion, but I promise you I was not making light of the subject... Sorry if it struck a nerve...

I too have had a few comments which I didnt really find fair, one being "very poor taste for a site that young kids look at". I had no nudity in my picture and although depicting lust, can`t really relate to the "poor taste" aspect! This challenge was about SIN! |

Didn't you get the memo ? It had to be cute and cuddly sin.

I can empathize with your point, but I wasn't implying the comment on my photo was 'unfair'... I apparently hit a raw nerve and wanted whomever it was to know I didn't do it lightly or intentionally.
The only image I saw this week that I won't allow my 4 year old to see had nothing to do with lust. Some folks are overly protective of what kids see, but with the world we live in being what it is, I can't really fault them. This is a nasty point in history to be a parent :(
That being said, this thread will likely now be hijacked off into our obligatory weekly discussion of good, evil, right, wrong, and the First Amendment... I hope I got my message to the gentle-person that I offended and that hopefully they will know I wasn't being crass about a subject that may be meaningful or sensitive to them. You are in my prayers...

The majority of my comments have been humorous. It is keeping my head up because my score is so low. :) One of the comments was, "Since when did monks start robbing people?" LOL. |

In the same boat here. I've got 36 comments. 34 of which say how disturbing and powerful the shot is, one that says "don't get it" and one that says "cute" LOL!!! Oh well, I'm also finding the comments funny this week. Not really funny HAHA, but maybe funny ironic. This has been a good challenge in my opinion. ~Heather~

I have never complained about comments I get; each to each his own is my motto. But regular readers will know that I am fussy about the pic meeting the wording of the challenge. So, I am peeved that this week I have a comment voting my pic down because "Planning [for your shot] was a major part of this challenge" and apparently my off-the-rack shot didn't meet that part of the challenge.
Can someone point to me the "planning" part of the challenge wording that I missed! Sheeeeesh!

I got voted down in the NS challenge BECAUSE someone thought I planned my shot. |

I feel that most of the time, when people say "for the children" it is just a symapthy tactic to ban something they do not like.

I didn't take it seriously. It got a good laugh out of me and my husband. Thanks! Sonja

It was a challenge, I had to go a long way to find one and then to catch the shot I did. Wow, you talk about tough. :)
