Not trying to crash the thread but just want to comment:

I am only a couple weeks here and cannot believe a LOT of these photos did not receive a comment (positive OR negative)

I see many here that I could NOT have resisted giving a positive comment to (the VanBergen hand-in-hand one is an obvious choice here)

... and some ... sorry ... I could not have resisted giving negative comments on, but, at least the photographer would have received ONE person's opinion ... I NEVER vote less than 4 without a comment and comment on MANY that I give a 7 to instead of a 9 because of one factor and I praise many in comments that I give 7 to 10 for as to WHY I liked their work.

But ... I find that with MANY hundreds of photos to evaluate each week that I sometimes think ... This is an 8 ... it doesn't need a comment.

I think a vote of 8 IS a comment in itself. VERY VERY NICE but doesn't have a WOW! factor for me.

This pic was not in a challenge. I was just trying my hand @ B&W. I have not had one challenge image that has not at least gotten one comment (pos or neg)

I'm going to start leaving more comments because I have found that I get bummed out if no one comments, good or bad, on my photos. So the last ten folks are going to get some kind of comment from me.

Here is one of my many no comment photos.
