Criticizing people who are deluded and tone deaf is one thing, but picking on someone's looks is just uncalled for. Sorry, I just find those moments painful. |
That guy was both deluded AND tone deaf...and he did look like a bush baby. He's no Kelly Clarkson that's for sure...

For your information, the begininning try outs are pretty much scripted. Each of the 12 producers hearing them sing when they stand in the long lines at the auditoriums are looking for a specific type. If you are awesome but you are a handsome African American and are standing in front of the "we are looking for a country white girl" table, you're out. If you act really crazy,or you're a marine, or anything they deem worthy, they might pull you off to the side and "get a story" and try to make something out of it.
I still watch it cause when they finally get to Hollywood, the real talent comes out. I've not missed a season yet. |

See, one of the bad things about watching this show is that now I have that "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" song stuck in my head... but not the original version.
I have it stuck in my head just as it was... um... "performed" by those contestants tonight, and that ain't good. |

I did like the brother and sister very much.... I think it would be so funny if they ended up the last two, competing against one another for the win. Talk about a sibling rivalry! |

just watched my TiVo recored Idol...all have to say is OH MY GOD. That was like torture. I didn't think the girl with the super-ugly oufit (sunburn girl) was all that bad, but pretty much everyone else was. I actually like the sister's song better than the brother, but she kind of had a nasty attitude when he came out. I just can't get over how hilarious it is that they keep the left door locked! That is soooo cruel, so naturally I love it!

his performance was great I think Bo showed that he doesn't need to change his look although a trim on the beard could help him with voters. |

Totally agree with each one of those contestants. The back up singer is like that tiny little nun in the movie "Sister Act" that belts it out. You totally don't expect it. I figured she would be good because of her vocation, but DAYUM! She should have been up front long ago! She not only nailed it, but she made it her own. I really hope she can get over her fears. From experience, I know it's not EZ, but I can drink when I go out & sing ;)

She seemed to be more confident when she sang - at least she didnt just stand there. Although I think her hunched shoulders and shyness is kinda cute, like a chipmunk. It certainly could endear her to viewers. I would much rather a shy, modest personality than an egotistical self-absorbed confident one.
Drinking can make you end up doing much more than just singing too, especially if there are tables involved :P |
