Somewhere this week the whole discussion got lost. To this point I still have no clue if it was suppose to be office art as in pens, pencils, and other office supplies in a photo. Or is it a photo you would expect to see in an office?

No matter which it is I decided when I go to vote on the challenge I will consider both to be office art.

Should I cringe now and prepare for the low scores cause of my take on the challenge? Or do others feel that it could be either?

I think people should be left to an interpretation that makes them creative and happy.
I will be equally open minded during the voting.

Nobody in the forums gets to decide anything when it comes to challenge interpretation. Do what makes you feel good and see how the voters like it.

I would like to see photos that have an 'office' theme to them...

It's not so much YOUR interpretation...it's how well you SELL you interpretation. on this and all challenges, I'd hazard a guess.

Hah. I didn't end up having time to do this, but I did think up a cool thing that would have been neat to do and enter - greenlined fanfold paper, cut and stapled and scotch-taped and hole-punched into a star/snowflake, then lit artistically and shot. Office *art*. :->

I agree not much creativity. I think it's a reflection of the BS that was going on here last week (and unfortunately lasted through the weekend). We were all too busy bickering. It'll be reflected in the voting, no doubt, as well.

I personally prefer when people DON'T decide how to interpret the challenge in the forums. That's why I don't read that stuff.
It tends to make the voting biased.

I would really like to see people that have already voted to go back and reconsider some of there votes or I believe the winner will be in the low fives. LOL

bickering?
I agree that alot of time seems to have been alotted to the discussion of ideas this week. (Not wanting to start this thread in that direction....just wanted to clarify this.) But, I need to look closer at the entries and just take them one by one. I try not to generalize.

I was actually kind of surprised at the *lack* of activity in those threads over the weekend, given how active they were through the week. (And, ditto KarenB - discussion's a good thing. BS is in the eye of the beholder....)

As to lack of creativity - I just glanced through the entries this morning, but maybe there just wasn't a lot of interest in the subject...

I have only voted on a few in the Office Art challenge, but the ones I have seen have shown a great deal of originality. I hope the rest are as creative.
