Maybe we could have a sub challenge that runs simultaneuosly with the current one and occurs every 2 months. We would have lots of time toprepare and get that perfect shot. It would be fun to always have a second theme to be considering. What do you think? Anyone, anyone?

two months? the torture! i would forget about it and not remember to enter until the last week anyway! :)
i do however like the idea of running a second challenge on alternating weeks, tho.

it would be nice to have 2 challenges at some times ... keep the one every week and then another one every other week - maybe on a more technical aspect like spoken about in another thread :) - i'm game for what ever - i just like to have fun with the site and learn as i go :)

Monthly would be okay...
Every two months might be to long... worth thinking about.

I think that sounds like a great idea... It would give several good weeks to think about the photo and another few weeks to get it executed and prepared. I think that would create some extremely high quality work. :)

I don't know if it would be possible or not, but it might be interesting to do a monthly thing like was suggested, but instead of one pic, do a "mini-portfolio" of three or four pics representing the theme.

I think 2 months is too long.
Most people within the 2 months will probably only take a few days, maybe a week, getting their photo done, and its a very long time to have to wait for results. Can you imagine waiting another Sixth of a year to get your garbage results?! What if you don't like the challenge and want to sit out? Its a long time.
I think maybe 2 weeks, or at the most 3 weeks, would be a pretty nice idea for a simultaneous challenge.

see, thats what professors think too when they assign that term paper at the beginning of the semester/quarter.. and of course.. the students wait until the weekend and/or night before it's due to pump out the 20 pages ;) it doesn't technically mean it'll be high quality.. hee
