Airs on PBS tonight at 9:00 -- NOW (in EDT)

Read more here: Link

Edit, my local listing has it airing at 10:00 here. I've read two interviews about this particular documentary and I must say, I'm excited. Her career has been impressive to say the least.

Knowing PBS (Public Broadcasting Stations), they will replay several times over the next week or two, so I'm sure you can catch it again if you miss it tonight.

Weird, not on in DC. That would be EST as well.

Edit: I see it now 10:00 PM EST on the East Coast, USA.

Set a reminder for myself! I'm not familiar with her work (because I'm uneducated in photography), but I had picked up a book of her's at Borders just the other day and was quite fascinated by it. Thanks so much for the heads up!

Thanks for posting this. I would have missed it without your help. Her work is just fascinatingly good.

Edit to say that it's on at 9:00PST on my local PBS station (KQED).

I am so impressed with the quality of this documentary, it really follows her work from college to Rolling Stones, to Vanity Fair, to Vogue, and back into personal work including war photography, etc. I am more impressed than I hoped to be. Please catch this one if you guys can.

I wanna be Annie-Lou when I grow up!

Discussion point: Her photography school, in California, in the 60s was teaching a style of photography that was almost unheard of before that time.... they taught the photographers to HOLD the camera rather than tripod it for the first time since cameras!

'One-clicked' a copy at Amazon a couple of hours ago. The critiques are funny, but still looks to be a great one for the bookshelf, to inspire me and drive me on.

LOL Excellent point! :)

ETM: It looks like the reviewers expected a full catalog of her life -- that would require a book the size of Britanica. It was meant to be an update.. hell she aint dead! lol

Tivo set for 2am!

Tivo caught her appearance on Oprah as something I might like to watch but it was a pretty brief segment and didn't really say much about her.

Just watched it myself. A little short but still a great program. My friend at KQED (San Francisco -PBS station) meet her and she was thinking about going all digital.

Watching this I can't help but notice all of the heavy manipulations of many of her images after the fact. She is the film's equalivalent of a digital artist! :P

Excellent documentary.

If anyone taped (archaic, I know) this or has a digital copy they're willing to share, I'd love to see it. Pretty sure I don't get PBS here. :-)
