Ummm... So I take photos with lifetouch for a living but the season is over for now so I don't have any of my equipment. And what else do I do all day? Take photos.
Not feeling too much inspiration on this one. It's like... camera self portrait for me! LOL. And I don't have 2 nor do I feel like a mirror shot.
Siiigh. |

Just what I was thinking. My last day in the office for 2 weeks. Absolutely no time to take photos today. |

no vacation...just cameras are not allowed on the property, let alone in any of the buildings. Violation has serious consequences. |

Snap. A bit of a shame really, as I finish work on Friday and am taking ten days leave - I had been looking forward to entering as many challenges as possible as I will have spare ME time. Oh well. |

I could submit an entry, but then I'd have to kill everyone.

Oh my goodness, somehow I thought this was already on your list. Was there a redaction at some point or am I thinking of Art and his village burning?

I'm at a loss so far as to how to take one photograph that represents what I do for a living...my job encompasses so much that a shot of any one component of it would really not begin to identify it as an occupation. I can't even describe what I do in one word, like doctor, lawyer, teacher, secretary, etc...if it takes 15 words to explain my job, how can one image do it justice? Guess I'll sit this one out. :( |

It doesn't say you have to take the picture at work...

Aaahhh but "a picture paints a thousand words", that ought to be enough ;) |

I just had a looong good look at the "Your Occupation" results away back in 2002...what a pleasure it was to just sit and look. There were some fantastic extractions and symbolic images that represented people's occupations. I have been inspired!!
Weird too: as an unintentional exercise I found myself saying..."wow great shot, and if this was taken in 2006 it would have been processed in this and this way.."
I loved seeing what a huge variety of things people do with their lives.
Suppose "occupation" can also be interpreted as "what occupies Your time" or "how do you occupy yourself"...not just what you do for income. I only indirectly have an income, so this is going to be a challenge and a half! |

woohoo! They actually listened to me! I brought this up a few months ago in a thread, and many people were interested to bring it back. I'm so excited to see all the entries. Okay...off to shoot mine, no peeking! |

Its going to be tough taking a picture of myself asleep at my desk with a half-drank latte.

Like Alienyst and Strikeslip, if I take a camera to work, they start shooting. (And not with cameras of their own. :)
Still, there are so many aspects to what I do, I'm having trouble coming up with that one idea that will make a good shot. |

Not sure I'd be too comfortable up on stage wrapped around a pole in a g-string with someone taking photos of me. Unless, of course, I had women shoving dollars in there.
Sorry if that mental image blinds anyone.
