"Street Photography" Challenge.
Has anything like this been done before?
This thread has some very fine examples.
It could be fun to see people break through their comfort zones.

I knew that that would be a standard response ;)
But you are trying to tell me their are no "interesting" folk or scenes in country America? Because their sure is in Australia. |

That's an awesome idea. It's sometimes impossible to get anything half way decent to look at in a short period of time. It either rains or it pours. |

Yeah I like this idea, the monthly free study is nice, but have everyone concentrate their focus into something specific would really help people learn more I think. I'm in!

This is a great idea especially for the people that havent "dabbled" in it before as it is not easy, and you really do have to "build" you confidence. So it may take a couple of outings to get something descent.

edit: and yes it has to be basic editing ;) |

I was joking mostly... I'm not THAT far away from town. I do actually live just right outside a metro area.
Would be nice for a month long challenge though.

Good Idea - Certainly basic cause that is more in the spirit of the art.
Anyone that gets beat up gets a .5 point bump? :-) |

Street photography as a genre is about finding harmony in the chaos of the streets around you. This harmony is very subtle and fragile, and that's the biggest fun and challenge.
And by street photography I don't mean any photo taken in the street. Here is a good attempt at a definition of Street Photography. |

I live in a very rural, small town. I shoot all my street stuff in Toronto which is about 1.5 hours away |
