After reading most of the posts I think it's safe to say that we all need an OCD support group, LOL :)

Ok, one of my obsessions is before I have a bottled drink, I have to make sure that the cap is completely sealed & watch the plastic pull apart as I turn it. If I don't see it as it's opened, I can't drink it......

My mother is insanely OCD so I've gotten really good at not letting things bother me. I live in a semi-disordered state and do things from time to time just to prove I DON'T have her OCD too.

But there are a few I can't beat:
- I cannot stand to have ANYONE use my computer equipment other than me. Goes for my camera gear, too.

- Every time I get up and move from a chair or a room (when I'm not at home), I do a stop and check for my bags, cell phone in holster, pen in pocket, wallet, etc. I grew up traveling a lot, and am paranoid about leaving things behind.

- I cannot stand a bundle of papers that isn't neat, you know, with all the edges lined up right. I'll sit and tap piles of papers into perfect alignment.

How in the world would we know where to put it back?
You don''t drive a land rover, do you?

This just reminded me of my daughter. She came home from school one day & told me how she had straightened up a pile of hole puncher punchings that were on the desk in front of her. Said she couldn't help it, that she made sure they were in piles all the same height & perfectly straight! LOL :)

My curry MUST be hotter than the last one. My local curry house said any hotter and chilly ceases to work.

And smudged shiny things is a sin!

Gorgeous girls who do not know how to walk feminine, also a sin!

I don't know about an obsession, strange or otherwise, but something that absolutely CANNOT stand is to have to squash a bug of any kind. It could be a man-eating tarantula about to kill me, or a daddy longlegs spider, or a tiny little bitty roly poly...doesn't matter. I just cannot bring myself to step on, stomp, or otherwise crush any insect. I HATE bugs of all kinds, but I can't kill them. The crunch of the exoskeleton makes me want to hurl...seriously. I just can't deal with it. I have the shivers just THINKING about it right now. Eewwww.

Genealogy - I read census file until my eyes bleed....not even of my own family line. I read 1800 obits, civil war pensions, old occupation names....I even walk cemeteries

-cotton balls. Ewwww, I can't touch them without spazzing out. That goes for really soft things as well, like feecey stuff, yuck!

-static electricity. Especially with my hair, it always sticks out in weird places and feels so uncomfortably.

-Turtle necks. They make me feel clastrophobic.

-Crooked frames. I've gotten a little better about it, but I'm very sensitive to anything crooked, and no matter where I am, I have to try to correct it.

-Hand lotion. too greasy, ew.

-I HAVE to edit photos, even if it's only +1 on contrast.

-I hate it when someone asks what I want for a gift and I don't know, but I also think it's soooo rude for them NOT to ask when you DO know, and they get you some random thing instead.

-I have to eat until the plate is clean. Even if I have to tilt the plate to drink up the juices, use my finger or a napkin, it has to look clean. Probably the reason why I have trouble losing weight :)

-If there are several different things on my plate, I can't just mix everything together. I have to meticulously put certain things on my fork or add to what's already in my mouth to get a specific tast sensation.

-Mustard juice, ketchup juice, cheese whey. Anything that's not supposed to be that liquidy, but IS, grosses me out.

-The color pink :D
