deapee, I secretly admired your boldness and, for lack of a better word, "cahunas". However, you seemed to walk a fine line between honesty and abuse. I honestly feel a bit sorry for the people who have to experience your intensity on a daily basis. You can sometimes be too much to handle, even in text.
You were more than willing to share advice, and much of it was not of the confrontational variety. Some of it was even downright compassionate. I think your front page is testimony to the wide range of creativity, technical ability, hardness and softness that you posess.
I've been watching your progress since I've been here and am impressed with the improvements you have made. You have much talent and a unique eye that many of us can only long for.
Even in this final appeal, that you have made, your boldness shines through. You must have known how this would turn out; and I suspect you did it subconsciously as a sort of self-fulfilling-prophecy.
I'd like to see you stick around so here's my dose of deapee-like advice: Stop the games, pay your $25 and keep up the great photography! |

I don't think it's unreasonable for deapee to ask for a free membership. At least not any less reasonable than the other people who have posted, begging for memberships due to some "terrible hardship". If the hardship is so awful, they probably should focus their energies on resolving those problems before begging for $25 to spend on a luxury.
At least deapee's honest about being too lazy to do it for himself. As a fellow lazy person, I'd be willing to give $25 to deapee long before I'd fall for one of those other sob stories. I like deapee and no matter what the rest of you think, he's good people.
My membership expired a few months ago. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I can't afford to renew. I won't bore you with the details, but I certainly am not about to cry about it on the forums, begging for a membership. If you want to give $25 to someone, please donate it to a good charity so someone who really needs it can benefit. |

David, I think this thread started as a joke, turned sour and here we are, you're back is up, as are a few others.
I for one would be sorry to see you go..pay your $25 and get on with the fine photography we have come to expect of you.

Well, this thread started out as a fine example of what liberal-socialists have done to America. This group owes you nothing. You will not be missed. Whatever uniqueness you provided here will quickly be filled by someone else who will be more than willing to pay their own way.

Had deapee changed his profile pic to that of an attractive girl and switched his icon I'm guessing someone would have bought him a gift membership.

Had he given some sob story about not being able to afford it and all the tragedy currently is his life, he'd have enough donations for a lifetime of memberships. It's worked plenty of times before for other people, true or not. Instead, the DPC community has decided to kick deapee for being honest. |

Dude, you didn't go far enough. You should have demanded that someone pay for your membership. The response would have been more entertaining that way. :D
