Radar Love was thier biggest hit, for me Don't Call Us We'll Call You was their best.

now - what's up with those 1.6 sensors anyway?

70-200mm w/1.4x extender, hand held at 448mm equivalent, 1/80 sec, certainly would be sharper if I did some tripodding. But I love the compression here. Karma's like 8 feet away, the fence like 40-50 feet back... The slight vignetting is added by me, it didn't come from the lens.

		| If you have a chance, take the Three Capes route out of Tillamook---some beautiful views and the Cape Meares Lighthouse. Then, if you have more time go on down to Yachats/Florence area. There's two lighthouses in Newport (Yaquina Head and Yaquina Bay) and another one at Heceta Head south of Yachats. Some pretty spectacular surf action in the Yachats area. |

The house across the street, 200mm, f/11, 1/30, ISO 100, tripod

Same shot, added 1.4x for 280mm, nothing else changed (camera still zeroed in on same spot)

That's a significant gain in reach. No PP on these except normal sharpening and resizing to 800 pixels. Overcast day today, so the light's not adding any sharpness unfortunately.

interesting thread... I was just thinking today to order the 1.4x for my 70-200 f2.8.

Does anyone have some additional examples between having and not having the extender? |

Your f/2.8 can handle the 2x extender just fine; that's what I'd go for if I had that lens... Gives you 640mm equivalent, at f/5.6 max aperture, drool...
