Well I guess post our pictures here to receive some comments. And that's why we create threads to show them. And if nobody reacts, well it's not so nice.

The way I see it...
You shouldn't be asked to comment on the last to be able to post in this thread. Maybe we could start a new thread with specific rules.
If you don't react, you don't post?
If you are forcing people to react, would you really know what sort of reactions your images create?
The last image could be something you really didn't want to comment on. May be you didn't have anything at all to say about it. Maybe you didn't want to post what you really felt about it. Why should we be asked to say something that we don't want to say?
I post an image, and there's no comment for days, that means no one who's seen it during this period is interested in saying anything or they just don't know what to say or they think it's so bad they'd rather keep the thoughts to themselves or they just don't care.
Can we just keep posting until the admins say NO :) |

It's good to encourage commenting, but you can't force people to comment IMHO. You can trade comments (as in the 1 for 1 threads), or ask directly for comments (many threads like that), but this thread I thought was simply for users to post their new pictures if they wanted to do so. There is no requirement here that if you post an image you have to comment on someone elses.
Whenever anyone posts a picture here there is hope that it will get a reaction, a comment, but just posting it here is no guarantee that it will.

Sorry.
I try when I can get a chance. I guess I am not one to simply add a "pretty" or "cool" or "wow" without taking the time to add why or why not. Time is one thing I have the least of, running my business and all and most often don't have un-distracted time to make comments that mean something.
Say the word and I'll go back and remove any links I have on this thread, but after taking a quick look, I see a member since May 2004 that has made less than 550 comments since joining so I am a little confused why the complaint.
Personally I just like to share a small piece of my world with others.
I also like to see new ideas, out of the box compositions, unusual post-processing results, etc.
And with that said:

I believe that it is a courtesy to try to make at least one comment on any image in this thread when you post an image to it. Yeh, so we are all pressed for time, but it would be nice if you take the time to post an image, to choose one image ( any image) to make a comment. So I will comment on SJ Carters. Here is my image for today.
