Did you actually shoot something gold Rikki? This is gonna be like the chrome challenge where people couldn't tell the difference between chrome and stainless steel. The challenge didn't say yellow or metaphorical gold, it said find something GOLD. My personal feeling is if aint gold it aint gonna score well from me. Don't go crying if ya get a 2.

Gold is an element, and gold is a color. The challenge description doesn't specify which, so be careful with such narrow interpretations. I don't normally step into these arguments, but something in there bothered me.

Yep there is white gold, red gold, yellow gold, pink gold, and as we can readily see from some of the voting to this point, fool's gold. Good night nurse! I am going to bed and think zen thoughts, hopefully in black and white!

Yes my friend... GOLD is indeed an element... but it is also a colour and that leaves a great deal of room for interpretation.

Your response seems to suggest that you will only consider those images where the element is the subject... and therein lies the problem.

but i'm not compaining because looking at it again, I would've given it a 4.

I have to say, since I've been here this is one of the worse challenge results I've seen. Not scores, photos. One more "look at the pretty sunset" or "wow, look what i can do with my macro lens" and i might just gouge out my eyes. There are a few really great though.

I would also like to give a shout out to Captain "Great Job," who once again has bagged me, two more days until your true identity is revealed on the "On The Beach" challenge and then it is on.

No, I'm open for the the color of gold to. I'll give a 10 to any picture I find of a McDonalds. The yellow arches must be gold because they call them GOLDEN arches.
