Kodak POTD July 17th! - DPChallenge Forums

Well I can now join the throngs of others from DPC who will have one of their shots displayed on the home page of kodak.com and in Times Square! I got the e-mail today that my "On Safari" shot is the Kodak POTD for July 17th. WOOO-HOOO!!!

If anyone can get a good shot of it for me, I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate it! I'm sure we could work out something for a free print of mine or something. :-) PLEASE?!?!

Congratulations Jimmy! Great shot, and you beat me by 4 days! We should make a Kodak POTD club here or something. :-)

Oh BTW, don't get too close to those ostrich's. A few years ago one lunged it's big long neck at me and bit my camera! No joke! It was my first digicam, and it tweaked the telescoping lens and I couldn't use it anymore.

Di, how did you capture that? I have a POTD this Friday, and I found the same web-camera and have been trying to capture a pic from that. When I do a simple screen capture it puts the "live feed" in there and I can't get a snapshot of the image in view. Thanks!

I have a program that does that, remind me and I'll get the snapshots for you
or you can download the program ... its called Fraps

I've tried looking at the webcams on earthcam.com and can't figure out which one you saw this on. I have a program that I think will capture it as well, but can't find out which camera. :-)

EDIT: Never mind - I see you've got to wait until it tracks over to that section. Found it. :-)

Here ya go Jimmy, Happy Birthday! Took many times around for the camera to be focused on the billboard at the same exact moment your photo was on it, but I finally got it.
