| what is the widest lense I can buy for my D50 and about how much would it cost? I thought I've seen some 10mm here on DPC but couldnt find any on eBay |

| the 8mm is a circular fish and will be WAY wider than the 10mm rect. However it may have some vignetting in the corners. Sigma also makes an 8mm circular fish but it's $600 or so. Personally i'd love to have the peleng, but, you should know that it's not the same kind of wide angle as the 10-whatever's. |

The 8mm Peleng fisheye offers pretty darn close to a 180 degree view. Getting an outdoor shot without your shadow and/or the sun in the photo is nearly impossible. Tripod legs and big feet get in the shot as well. There is vignetting in the corners that you need to crop out. Also, it's a full manual lens, you have to set the aperture on the lens and manually focus. However, it's very easy to do, taking an out of focus shot with this lens is pretty hard.
That being said, I love mine and would not think of giving it up. I haven't used it much because there are not a lot of uses for it, but one of these days i know I'll take some great photos with it.
