If your "Success" photo ends up scoring lowest (the dreaded brown ribbon) is your photo really a "Failure" and entered in the wrong challenge?
If your "Failure" photo wins the blue ribbon is it really a "Success" and therefore disqualified?

I didnt enter either Succss or Failure. I've started going through them for voting though and have seen some pretty nice shots. Good luck to all who entered

Question: is it allowed in basic to single out one colour? I thought it was not. I thought that everything you use should affect the whole photo. I've seen a couple of those in failure, so I got a bit confused.

Depends on how it is done. It can be done in basic. Here is a tutorial on how to do it: Selective Desaturation within the Basic Editing Rules

Not doing to badly in "Failure" with a 5.3. I was excited about the entry at first, but then it didn't come out as I envisioned. Got another idea, but it was too late to accomplish while in the middle of getting a moving sale together. Oh well, my new idea for that will go well for the Beatles though, if I can pull that off before the weekend, when I will be too busy to do anything. LOL....
