Scott-
Thanks for all the hard work making this Season 1 of the WPL a memorable one. There were times when we were all just a pain in the butt. However, you had managed to keep cool, calm, and collected. Thanks for your efforts. Looking forward to the challenges in Season 2.
Ok. We can call him Commissioner now ;)
Thanks.

I agree with Rikki. Scott you did wonderful, Kudos.
Let's take my example. I was feeling so down myself, with lack of motivation to participate in challenges. And then I came across this thread from Scott about WPL. But alas, I was late when I found about WPL. 10 teams were already formed initially. I tried pushing for more teams so that others like me who were willing can participate. And Scott changed the whole format to include two more team, and the late comers like me were in.
It was great first season, and now looking forward to season-2.

And you have been doing so well during the whole WPL1 Shailesh. Looks like you will top the PI-list for WPL1, very well done . (Photographer Improvement list)
As to finding words to describe what Scott has accomplished, I'm searhing for those. Fantabulous maybe :-)

Nah, I think I lost it due to low score in the last week.

Well, I did some calculating this morning and you seem fine, but it was very early, maybe I can only trust my mathematical skills in the afternoon.
Scott will surely do the maths later in the week, that man always delivers.

All though its truly a moral victory congrats to The Olympians for finally reaching into the win column. Although I'm not sure exactly what happened to our competition maybe they were ascared of us! :-)
Anyway thanks to all the team players from all the teams and to Scott for doing all the hard work. Good luck to the playoff teams. See you all in WPL season 2. In the words of the Govenator, "we'll be back!"
MattO
On a side note I want to mention to my teammates that I feel we all did a great job stepping up each week even if we did lose. Our team average for the whole season is 5.7192, and we started with a team average of 5.2002. Thats a great job, and also our average is almost a full point above 3 other teams! Great job guys, rest up and lets get ready for season 2.

Congratulations to all who made the playoffs. Special congratulations to Team PENTAX for an undefeated season, an almost unimaginable happening; look at a couple of the powerhouse lineups that couldn't manage that :-) Particular kudos to Team 20D also, who sucked it up in week 6 to finish 5-1 and assure their wildcard slot when all other contenders faltered; no need for tiebreakers here.
A HUGE "thank you" to Scott for taking charge here and ensuring that this unique (in DPC history at least) competition thrived and grew. I believe it's done a LOT to rejuvenate interest in "playing the game" in DPC. And that's important to me; I like to see people entering week in and week out, not just when they happen to think they have a world-beating concept that will win. For me, that's what DPC is all about; going out week after week to shoot the assignment, so to speak, and to have some fun doing it.
Finally, congratulations to our ragtag Team OUTCASTS, cobbled together with no attention paid to records or rankings: we finished with a team average of over 6.0, a great moral victory, and a 4-2 record, placing us squarely amongst the best teams competing. Plus, we nearly pulled off a great upset over Team PENTAX, had them sweating down to the wire.
Thanks to all who competed so ably throughout the weeks, and here's to meeting you all on the field of battle again in WPL2!
Robt.

Scott, Will the Play-off score will be taken into account for the purpose of PI list? If not, I think I may have chance as per GuGi's math. |

Congratulations & good luck to Team Pentax, The Magnificent 7, and Team 20D. Also thank you Scott for doing such a great job all season!
I also wanted to say thank you to my team mates on The Untouchables. And although our W/L record may not reflect it, we actually finished with the 5th highest average score (6.1718). That's a +.7 increase over our starting average. Not bad! I'm looking forward to next season!

Looks like team 20D is done for, four of us scored a 7+ in the first round of the playoffs so unless they pull a BIG rabbit out of their hat, we are now gunning for team pentax. |

Team 20D are pretenders. I bet my team would have taken them this week. :P |

PI or Photographer Improvement stats continue through out the playoffs just like in baseball, hockey, football, etc. You can look at it two different ways. If the photographers in the playoffs post better scores than there WPL 6 week avg then yes it could give them an advantage but if they post a lower score it could wipe out most of there improvement.

Really shaileshivyas should be tops on the leaderboard since Artyste has only had two scores count for the entire season which is skewing his stats big time. Just my opnion though. :) |

Couldn't disagree with you more on that.
There's no rule that says you need a minimum number of submissions to be eligible so Artyste deserves top placing fair and square.

I understand there's no minimun number rule. It was just my opinion on the concept in general. |

Thing is thought that the week 6 scores haven´t been calculated in so Artyste is not really at a 7+ average but more like 6.6 so shaileshivyas should be on top, it´s really a moot point on who both of you think should be up there :D |

This has been pointed out earlier (last week actually), and I know that Scott will be doing some math wizardry again this week. The man has a lot to do, planning WPL2 and all.
Edit. spelling and such nonsence

Oh I wasn´t getting on Scott´s case, hope my reply didn´t come off like that :) Just wanted to point out to them that the calculations were not in yet so the argument if Artyste is eligible or not wasn´t really neccesary :) |

No prob Lárus, and I didn't mean it that way either :-)
I would simply to see shaileshivyas on the top there. Even though there is no minimum or maximum of submission to make the PI list, it is of course harder to stay up there with many sumissions than with two or three. His average is truly amazing in WPL1. Absolutely no discredit meant for Artyste or anyone else. Just keeping my fingers crossed for shaileshivyas.
