After viewing and voting on all the entries, I've come to the conclusion that the majority of photographers don't know what a still life is.

Some of the ''still life'' entrants ARE very good tho.
What do you all think??

its because the members are using an addicting update button then using math to figure out what the last vote was.

OMG! im amazed by this. i had a traditional shot submitted and last minute decided to go with something a little more edgy, but a 3.8?!? there are a couple other photos with the same type of still life subject(s) and mine is technically better than those, just focus/lighting wise. i cant see how this isnt the brown ribbon. I want to laugh and cry at the same time. its going to kill my average.

I cant complain with this as I threw my shot together real quick day of - but my wifes pic is rocking the scores right now. I have never seen a 7.0 as a final score or during the voting week. She beat me to it. Hope it stays there. (See above post for my wifes score)

For the first time, I don't care about the score. I was pretty sure it would score badly, but it's a picture that I like. It captures exactly the mood and story I wanted to capture. I think a few people will get a kick out of it. That's good enough for me. :)

Time to stop hitting the update button for a while LOL..

I'm at a 4.7, and that is what happens when you look at an entry WAY too long and enter one you are not sure of 2 minutes before contest goes in for voting. :)
