5.5 for me here, my 6+ streak has got to end sometime :S

I was just teasing Espy earlier. Not sure how mine will score, but definitely 6.5 - 7.0 range. A photog friend came over early and saw my entry - all he said was "OMG That is a competition print"! He means for PPA (Profess. Photogs of America). :D

I'm guessing mine is my usual, around 5.8. If I had just had a bit more light in that {location)

It was a found moment, not a set up shot, and I only had about 45 seconds to do the whole thing.

It went kind of like "Hey, can I take your picture right there in front of this?"

"Sure!"

snap snap snap

"thanks!"

They ended up coming out a bit blurry from minor camera shake, but I really had to get back to the group I came there with... sigh. I almost want to go back there tonight and see if they are there again.

I went with sometihng different and more personal so I predict somewhere in the mid 4s

I predict that I will be utterly thrashed by Kiwiness or Judy in the 2nd round of competition.

Such frustration. My 6+ streak is going to end with DPC Cinema one short of my record. Now I have to start all over... :(

EDIT: Hmm, well, it looks like I actually beat my record. I was one short of Rikki's record which is really what I would take pleasure in beating...

Well a run of 7 6+'s with 3 7's and a trio of ribbons is pretty darn good! I just wish Larus broke his string in dpc cinema ;)

Huh? I got fourteen 6+ in a row now and 15 if you count my movie poster entry, not seven. Oh and by the way, regarding that challenge, while we are on that subject, I am still above your top score so if you are going to beat me, you definately need to improve on your top score if you are going to beat me :)

He's talking about my record Larus. I've only hit 7 in a row.

sorry Larus, I was talking about the Dr. Looking at your comp results I notice that out of 63 entries you have been out of the top 50% just twice!! a further 5 times out of the top 75% and, in the top 10% 35 times! And congrats on the LoD, I'm about 7/100's behind my high score.

I'm betting mid 5's. Not sure. I think we are going to see plenty of "candids" and not true portraits, but I hope I'm wrong. Good luck to all.

Can't decide whether to go with the "straightforward shot which will be torn apart for its technical deficiencies" or the "interesting and different shot which will be misunderstood and just plain torn apart".

I've gone for option 2, a wacky/funny shot so its a 4.9 or 6.9 for me ;)

I don't think mine is my best work. But, I think it just might score as one of my higher scores.

I think I'm trying something new and different (for me anyway) as far as portraiture is concerned, which immediately means that it will be rejected by voters and scorned by commenters. ;)

I'd say 4.7 at best.

Well, I'm almost in the middle of my prediction with a 6.030 and hope to hang on to a 6, how are other peeps predictions coming on?
