and i'd like your input!
i have a 10 sqft tent with lattice walls, and i'm planning on putting up 3 walls of 11x14 drymounted prints. of course, they will be for sale, but i also want images representative of the range of work that i am capable of. most of my "good stuff" is in my portfolio, but i also have some stuff at my website www.skippix.biz.
i figure i'm going to need about 40 images. i have some ideas, but i'd also appreciate some input from all ya'll--which images of mine would you like to see if you happened upon my tent?
thanks!

...lot's of good stuff at the 3rd St. Diner (I guess you know that, though)...I recognized the place from a shot you had posted here, but forgot about all the photos inside...it was impressive...the food was...memorable.
Did you decide whether to do a themed show or a broad shotgun approach?

My favorites are your recent Icarus Ascending shot, Speedo, and Celebrating Sunrise so make sure those are in there along with some of your 3rd street diner shots. Might want to throw in a few racecar photos too. And throw in one of Lexa's and don't tell anybody tell after you sell it. :) |

I have to second the Icarus Ascending, Speedo and Celebrating Sunrise. All excellent choices. I'd also add Absolute Regret and Absolute Still just to name a couple. :)

You've got too many good shots for me even to begin trying to list 40 of them :-) I will say this, though:
1. You have to include "Absolute Still", "As Daylight Fades", and "Flawless Execution" (if you're allowed to sell that image). But many will recommend these.
2. A few that are less well-known: "Extreme Urgency", "312400" (the heron), "Erasure II" and "Erasure V2" all seem very sellable to me.
"Absolute Still" should be offered in a very large size, say 24 incehs, to see how it does, in addition to "normal" sizes.

well, finally...what a friggen nightmare.
over the weekend, i finished editing 65 images to 11x14s, 8x10s, and 5x7s, all at 300dpi. they are being printed and dry-mounted this week, and will be ready for pickup on thurs.
if you'd like, you can see them here.
this group contains a combination of both artwork and portfolio pieces. of course, i would like to sell something, but more importantly, i want to be able to showcase what i'm capable of. if the weather is decent, they expect 10-15,000 people to show up! more than anything, i'm using this event to prospect for action sports clients and portrait work. who knows? maybe i'll even get a few more weddings...
so, if you're in central va, and don't have anything better planned for saturday, please feel free to stop by the Ashland Strawberry Faire and look me up!
thanks again for all the great suggestions and pm's--it is truly appreciated!
