it also tends to bias your judgment on the merits of the photo because you're emotionally attached to your subject. We've all learned that lesson the hard way a time or two ;)

Ok I get it I OVER PROCESSED. Im loving the fact that in this challenge everyone wants to comment. Go give my comments to someone else you all have made it very CLEAR whats wrong with my image. :-) LOL Just kidding keep them coming!

Didn't enter this challenge, but it seems there are more than the usual percentage of worthy shots. This theme seemed to resonate with the better photographers here, and possibly brought out the best in the rest.

My score has dropped within the last three votes from 5.96 down to 5.92. I was happy, now I just want it to be over with to save me from further disappointment. I guess the score is not that bad when considering this is my second contest entry, but honestly, and this probably goes without saying, I take a lot of pride in my photo so naturally I think it's better than all but one. Not to sound cocky or anything...

Well, it aint over until the fat lady sings.

(BTW, does anyone know why it has to be a fat lady that sings? Is that a hard and fast rule, or can we change it? Maybe something like, "It aint over until the hot looking chick with big boobs sings")
