To me, St Pauls Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Eye and the new gherkin building make it a lot more interesting than just sky scraper after skyscraper. |
I'm surprised my town, Mesa Arizona, didn't make the list either. It is half the size of San Francisco and even has one building higher than three stories.
I'd take a picture of Mesa's skyline, but I can't find it. LOL!!!!

With the new movie ant all, I am surprised that the ATL didn't make it. HA! But here's a cool pic anyway.

Where did you take that from, Treasure Island?
It's stupid, but I have never gone there, even since the Navy left and it's public property again. There has to be a limited number of shots around from that vantage. |

Yup, Treasure Island. Taken during the Dragon boat race last year. Haven't been to Angel Island yet, but I would think there's some good ones there also. |

I have to agree that the SF skyline is very diverse and can be attacked from many different angles.

Mike,
You should definitely make this one a print:

I have a large print of this one (minus the reflection) above the kitchen table. The panorama is from 7 different frames, so it has great resolution. Maybe sometime I will get around to putting it up on DPCPrints. |

I don't know if this shot qualifies as a skyline, but the city is ENORMOUS

I've got shots of Singapore, KL and Hong Kong & Sydney. Won't share them here as I haven't got round to uploading them yet. My take:
- Hong Kong is awesome, only problem is that most of the time the skyline is obscured by dense grey smog from the mainland.
- KL rocks, the petronas towers carries the skyline though - must be the most phot-genic building in the world.
- Singapore really isn't that great. Note it is the only skyline in the list with the POV looking away from the city.
- Sydney is brilliant. The habour there isn't really part of the skyline, but ranks as my number one in the world.
I've also been too and lived in a number of others on the list.
London doesn't amount to much. I lived there six years I wouldn't rave about the skyline. The architecture is brilliant though. The city I'd expect (my bias) is Cape Town city bowl, with Table Mountain, ocean and skyscrapers; of course iit doesn't have any 200m thingies.
