Wouldn't that be breaking the anonymity of the challenge?

Not if he doesn't respond...

nope ;} - they just seem to score the best for me - and it's the only color i have to work with... seriously though - i don't intend to use blue so much - it just sort of happens. better than puke green i suppose.

it'll be warming up here soon - so i'll be able to get outside again !!
call it the winter 'blues'

Indeed. Especially if it's the color of your wall.

i could desaturate it to grey however.

we also have terracota orange / lime green / deep leaf green / and sandy off white.

Wow. House pictures please!

Btw, seeing your photos was actually how I got the idea to use the wall as a backdrop for this photo.

For some reason, that hadn't occurred to my feeble little mind before.

nice work - i haven't tried side lighting with glass yet - will give it a go. glad i could be of some inspiration ;} having the off camera flash capapbility has been a tremendous blessing. the ST-E2 rarely is removed from the hot shoe lately.

i see you like bold colors as well. funny how folks think it makes a room smaller. when you have the lights on at night it adds so much drama, and makes the space seem bigger.

i am also a painter - and get so tired of painting dove white, navajo white, and the like. BORING !!

OK, here is a question: If you used an different animal, say an Elephant, would that also go in line of a parody? OR is that too much of a stretch?

Probably a stretch, but if you can get an elephant into your studio, I'd give you a ten for the effort. ;-)

Generally, to be successful, parodies should retain as much of the original content as possible with only the "punch line" being the difference. There are exceptions though like where the overall compsition makes an obvious connection.

Just my 2 cents anyway. Good luck with that elephant.

I was trying to do a take on alexsaberi's outstanding image:

But instead of a terminator I was trying to do 'Bender' off of Futurama. What resulted is so shocking it'll NEVER see the light of day, not on pain of death.

I did something else and now have a rash on 30% of my body.

This challenge has taught me:
1) I have a face for radio
2) photography hurts

I can't wait until the outtake thread is started. I have one that's really funny. It wasn't meant to be, I just sucked at what I was trying to do.

Before voting starts... I'd just like to say "sorry"! But, I really, really, really did try. LOL.

I decided to take one tonight (my apologies, as well to the original photographer) because I will be out of town tomorrow night.

Then, realized that tonight was the deadline. I procrastinated, and didn't even mean to!!!
