SP, I took a picture of a black pug puppy recently. The focus is a little off, but it's still cute with its little pink tongue sticking out.

i wonder who will win?

Is that how they get that "fluffy" effect with the water (longer exposure)? How do they keep the rest of the picture from blowing out? I'm trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt by assuming all the pictures took 2 seconds to expose....unless it's real obvious otherwise. But, I have to wonder about pictures that look like they were shot in daylight, but aren't blown-out.

I don't think any of the waterfall pictures will win, btw. Not that they're not good. They're very good. But, I think it will go to one of the night pictures.

If shot in mid daylight they probably used an ND filter.

I guess I will be going out with a whimper...my score is crap! Below 5. So one more challenge (already entered) and I am sure that will tank as well.

So, is it like a polarizer?

Correct me if I am wrong.

The polarizer cuts down glare and reflections.
The ND filter reduces the amount of light getting into the lens.

Sub 5 scores without a camera? I get sub 5's with a camera! Maybe I am doing this all wrong?

I have forgotten what seeing a score of 5+ is like. My education score is also close to 5. All I need are a few votes of 6 or 7 and no more 4's... A few comments would be appreciated!

I just took the camera off my profile before I posted that. I am selling it. Actually selling all my stuff - everything must go.

And the one comment I did receive was "ughh... another clock shot." That sure sounds like constructive criticism, don't it? Pfft.
