Three comments regarding camera angle and composition - the funny thing is, I switched from my telephoto and the composition/angle that was suggested, to my wide angle lens and the angle I liked better for the shot I submitted.
I'm still happy with the shot, score/comments don't change that for me this time. |

Maybe, but if you're still above 6 when you're done falling (and I hope you are and start an upward trend soon), then I'd say ya done good kid! ;-) Good luck and thanks for the comment on mine!

Hmmmm
I thought this would be a really high scoring challenge. I mean there's some very, very good submissions and all but three have square crops.
I wonder why so many low scores ?

I did not enter and it is easy to be critical, but I find it interesting that so few photographers took advantage of "squareness" to compose their pictures.
It does not bother me much since I generally vote the picture above the challenge topic anyway but I would have thought more people would make an effort to do so given all the "did not meet the challenge" complaints so common at this site.
Though I have not reviewed every image in detail I did see one which stands head and shoulders above the rest that not only takes perfect advantage of "squareness" in its composition but is of exceptional technical quality. It will be interesting to me to see how well it finishes.

Should be an interesting challenge. Kiwiness has a lot more ribbons, but Larus is a fantastic photographer to. We will be watching to see who is "the best" :) :)
