Never been in March, but down in the old district and by the water it is quite beautiful!

I'm sure some other people can give more information

Don't forget to have some pralines!

The weather is usually quite nice, ranging from the mid to upper 60's to the mid-70's.
Charleston attractions:
SC Aquarium
Patriot's Point Maritime Museum (USS Yorktown and other ships)
Fort Sumter
Celebrate Charleston (Charleston tourism page)

This should get you started. For an insider's 'view' of Charleston, PM UNCLEBRO, as he lives in Charleston.

Oooh! Thanks for the link to the pretty pictures.
Darn it! Now I have to get down there this spring. Wonder if I can get the hubby to take some vacation days... :)

Charleston weather is hit or miss in March, but usually very nice days with some chilly evenings. There are a wealth of photo opp's here! Let me know if you want any specific guidance for things to do, places to shoot, restaurants, etc and I'll be glad to help.

Heck yeah. Great gallery of surfing shots. Shows lots of totally different styles but they work well together. Do you shoot for a surfing mag or something like that?

Thanks for the comments JPR. I don't work for a surfing mag. I have been surfing my whole life so I find surfing pretty easy to shoot. Actually, the only time I find surf photography difficult is when the waves are really good and I have to balance my career, love of photography, and my love of surfing. Can be tough, bu, not too difficult a bind to be in! :)

Pitsaman let me know if you want any local insight on things to do, places to shoot in Charleston.
