this sucks I put in the wrong image, this is gonna be my lowest scoring image, damn went to sleep last nite and did not think twice about it or go to check it out. This morning at work I looked and realized it
right now I am at

Okay again this is too unbelievable. I just posted when I had 10 votes and it was 5.300 and now:

My assumption is that people are viewing the images much in the same way as they did, Best Of 2005. Right on the heels of that Challenge, the entry pool looks sort of similar and I think people are voting on the same strict scale.
...that and first day voter are stinkers. ;)

The math is: # of votes X score = xxxx; then subtract the new xxxxx from the last xxxx and you'll know what the score given was. does that make sense? |

Yes, that makes sense, but this one is doing really bad and in my opinion it is one of my best shots. I just can't see how it can go from 6.75 to 5.00 with so few votes in between that time. I have never plunged that quickly before. Believe me, I have fallen, but not so much so fast.
It just blows my mind. I am ready to turn my scores off at this point.

It's rare for me to post to a scores thread...don't ask why, just don't usually. ;^)
I'm normally fairly close on score estimates, at least in the range of fair, good, and jammin! This time I thought I had a shot at breaking 7 and it's at 4.7xxx with 17 votes in. Some tough votes being tossed around.
...go figure. Oh well, guess there's alway's next time. grrrrr.

I am going through the same thing..normally I don't get to watch the scores much, just happen to be around..but this is the most dramatic drop I have seen...
could this be from bitter Best of 2005 voters..the 'I'll show them' attitude'? I don't get it... |

At 10 votes my average was 6.257
Then I got a 5, 8, 7, 9, 6, (1), 10, (3), 10, 6....
...and I know my pic isn't worth less than a 5.
I should say, I also know that some people use the low end of the scale to sort their votes--I just wish they wouldn't. |
