Ohhhhhhhhh....of course...silly me!! And here I was thinking they were little ugly creatures that snuck in here to play havoc with our scores just for fun...lol!! |

I have watched my entry drop from almost 8 to 5.48xx. I will say this, is it does not score above the avg score of 5.5, it will be the last challenge I enter. Except my Free Study which is already posted.
I just don't understand. And if my shot in OC doesn't do well then I know something is wrong here. Maybe the challenges are not for me.

| ahh...I ahve gone from 8.25 with 12 votes lat night to waking up to a 6.8 with 40 votes this morning. Now, two votes later, it has droped to a little below 6.4. I really need to stop looking at these scores until they hit around 100 and stop jumping up and down so much, |

I think it would be a mistake for you to stop entering challenges. I hope you will reconsider that statement when you are not so upset about your score.
I'm not posting my score but would be glad to trade it with anyone who has posted in this thread so far.

What a wonderful spiral I have taken... Last night had a hefty number of votes and was sitting at comfortable 6.6. I don't know it is impossible to please here at DPC. Maybe I will get lucky and it will climb back up. |

I got a DNMC comment. I guess some folks have their protractors and slide rules out for this challenge. ;)
My entry is more of a social experiment than anything anyway...I have 3 commments already so I'll have to see how things progress this week.

I was hoping to score higher (who wouldn't obviously) but I'd like to know why it's not. At least it's above my average. But let's face it, straight shots done without a trick or a catch don't do that well here, no matter how technically or asthetically done.

My virgin entry with my new camera. It's doing better than I expected as it has some problems. I just fealt I had to enter something ASAP with my new camera. I'm happy mostly because this is a shot I wouldn't have been able to get with my point & shoot.

Well I knew the score wouldn't last last night ;) But still good overall. ANything above a 6 for me is good. Anything over a 6.5... well, is just FANTASTIC!
