Trying to help my roommate come up with a name for his newest pet - a male cornsnake. I don't have a picture of him yet, but he looks incredibly similar to this photo by BrennanOB:

If anyone has any good suggestions? Was thinking of maybe a word in a different language that means snake? Trying to do some research online but having no luck so far.

Well, Shannon is the master of corny names ;)

How about something from Harry Potter, such as Slytherin or Parseltongue.

e.g.,

Sly Slytherin

or

Paul Parseltongue.

or maybe "Mousetrap" ;)

What about Maize?

Or Milo...that's close to Portugese for corn (milho).

Call him "weasel" as in "pop goes the weasel" as in "popcorn"; that oughta be sly enough to keep people guessing.

These are all great. I am sitting here laughing my ass off reading all of this. I will make sure to pass them all on to my roommate. If anyone else has any other suggestions.....
I will follow up and let you know what he decides on!

I say you name him "Abbot" after Abbot & Costello. Or at the least, since he is a "corn" snake he should be named after some classic comedian.
