I think he doesn't have to be performing OR looking at the camera to be considered 'candid'

He IS performing for the crowd, but is not posing for my shot of him.

Prolly shouldn't tell us exactly what your picture is of:P

On a side note though...My picture goes against all the typical photo "rules". Doesn't use the rule of thirds at all and the colors aren't very vibrant.

But I love it...

I'm in....and already preparing for my lowest score of the year :)

It wasn't hard single out a face in a crowd but making it interesting was near on impossible.

bazz.

You're right, and I thought about that before I posted. Although it sounds like it, I haven't given it away. I can't explain further, because that would, in fact, give too many clues.

I didn't enter but this crossed my mind. Any thoughts?

Prolly woulda got voted down by voters because there is no crowd...

Larry, Larry, Larry ... I fail to see what DNMC has to do with Fascism ... literally the authoritarian political movement in Italy between 1922 and 1943 ... more generally similar political movements including Nazism. If someone indicates DNMC on a photo they are commenting on, it hardly makes them a Fascist or a Nazi. It's just their opinion. Doesn't mean they eat little children for breakfast without salt.

Actually, most people usually say "DNMC nazis," which aggravates me. I doubt very many DPCers have any intent to utterly annihilate several populations. I could be wrong.

So I went with a less specific version thereof, one that's mostly lost its historical anchor. Please note the lowercase f.

Why do you feel the need to call people ANY name, just because they adhere to the rules (and the reason and spirit behind them) of this site?

I was going to use this one...but I really don't like the picture...what I do like, is the little girl that noticed me taking the picture...

Guess I'm out of this challenge!

I'm so bummed, candids are my favorite type of pictures - but a combination of day job, bad weather, and family obligations did not afford me the time to go take a few pics this week. I think there would have been more entrees if this were a summer time challenge. Good luck to all those who entered! I'll voting on them all!
