Actually there is ONE shot that I consider by far my best of 2005. Unfortunately, due to The Great Harddrive Crash of February '05... I no longer have the original :(

My list does not include my *favorite* shot of the year, but probably not my *best* shot of the year:

To those who think I'm just looking to glean voter info by posting, I am not. I just don't think this photo would do well with voters, but I still really like it.

I totally agree with ya on this one, JP. Both that it is a beautiful photo and that it probably wouldn't score as well as you would like it to here. Still wonderful capture, definitely a keeper.

I was interested to note that on the challenges with 500 plus entries there are still only 250 - 350 votes? Its a shame that not everyone who enters finds the time to vote too.

I have had it happen more then once where due to work or injury I could not vote on a challenge. It happens to everybody but some just choose not to play.

As I think mine is better than any of the challenge entries I've ever entered, I'm hoping mine will replace my highest scoring challenge entry.

I don't anticipte high results with this many entries, but I wanted to put myself to the test.

I think I'm going to open a big fat bottle of expensive cognac, drink 2/3's of it, then decide.

At least now I'm wishing and washing between 2.5 images instead of 10-12. I'm glad I'm not a good photographer like cindi, it would suck to have to go through 12,000 great photos :P

GIMME A DRINK!! Bah, you flatter me, JP. I said I had thousands to look at because with my swiss cheese memory I've forgotten all I shot last year. Most are crap, but there will be a few gems in the pile.

Today, sick as a DOG!!!! (no comment on who might be spreading GERMS), I managed to go to a VERY touristy location near me (I hate tourists!) and shoot crowds for hours in the freezing (57 degrees) cold!!! I'm even sicker now and feel like I've been hit by a greyhound bus full of greyhound crap!, but I've chosen my "Singled Out" entry.

So now I can get onto looking through all of that 2005 crap and choose my BO2005.......... ugh, I need drugs! Anyone got a tylenol??

you sell yourself short JP - you are good. That's why unlike me, you have to make a choice. I had but one that I would even consider entering.

I picked mine on January 1st, submitted it sometime around then, and made myself forget about it until JUST NOW when I have decided that I hate it.

Even at my most optimistic moments I'm hoping for 50%. I'll predict 324th place. :)
