Ok, this question was given to me, so I am handing it to you, the DPCer.
But, first an insight on this question.
When in college, many moons ago, some of us frat guys(AKL) came up with a theory that the way people danced during parties (we focused on the girls), was the way they made love (had sex). If they were to shuffle their feet meant that they were not so exciting in bed. But, if they were a "firecracker" on the dance floor, then the possiblilities were that they were exciteing in bed. I think we were onto something actually.
Expanding on this idea....
The way you walk equals the way you drive. And visa versa.
Now, furthering this idea. If you do one thing, then you probly do another.
Here is the most recent question.
The way you decorate your house for christmas (or don't). Weather you are a "minimalist" where you keep the decorations simple, or loud and "tacky".
Does your decorating reflect the way you see the world through the lens?
In other words, if you are a minimalist with the decorations at xmas time, are you a minimalist through the lens? If you are loud and tacky with the decorations at xmas time, are you loud and tacky through the lens?
Now the word 'minimal' does not mean to be a minimalist with the actual picture, but more what is in the picture. How you approach the frame minimally.
The same is true with the words 'loud' and 'tacky'. The picture is not tacky, but how you observe what you see and what you capture. How you approach the frame and what you keep in it.
I know all of us have seen decorations from each end of the spectrum at xmas time from minimal to loud. Some low key, some big and entertaining.
So which one is it for you?

I'm a minimalist with christmas-decoration & with photography, also with the way I shoot the photo. all part of my style, I guess.
also when I take the photo, it can take hours before I think it's allright. I thought about it very clearly, no snapshot-like photo's for me. |

| I don't do any decorations, so I don't know what that means except some people will call me a scrooge :) |

So how do you think your photogrphy reflects verses you non-docorating?

I go all out...tacky, loud, and lots of bells and whistles in my decorating... and in photography, I go through phases, sometimes overboard, sometimes minimal... wonder what all that means????

I suppose it could be interpreted as I shoot for myself. Since I don't decorate, one could say I'm a non-conformist. Hmm, sort of rambling now.
For the moment, I feel like I can't really say anything about my photography. I'm still learning and trying to 'find' my strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes when it comes to photography. |

I like to salsa. I like to boogie. I flip back and forth with decorating (minimalist to tacky).
Dunno what that says about my photography, but ... the fun's in the learning.
:)
