It was at 210 or so...what happeneed? all the free study entries want CC's? LOL

I am 'sitting' on one now..the first i;'ve run across that scored well (over 6) but i don't think a lot of...how do you critique that?

I'll see how many i can do. i have a light schedule today.

Honestly.

I know how you feel since I have been assigned images by a few of the best we have here and I felt very intimidated at first, but if you approach it like all the others, it works out fine.

My third image ever pulled on SC was one of Setzler's, my 5th was the ribbon winner for the week. OUCH. I'd been on site like 5 months at that point - so I just told them what *I* thought.

Somehow that image went away...i don't know, at rollover maybe?

Anyway, we are below 500 now!

Hmm...I didn't lose my image when the Free Study rolled over. Did you pull it before Tuesday night?

Under 500 is great - it was 522 when I started this thread yesterday.

The CC queue only gets cleared a week after the voting ends (ie when the challenge is no longer on the front page), and no other challenge dropped off when the freestudy voting ended.

Hmmm, I didn't get your email regarding the info on the numbers. So sorry for the non response. I will definately say that going through the critiques after this is over will be a pain in the arese. You have to first look at all the 'active' cc members since x date. Seperate them from the others (since it's not automatically done, you have to look through the list of like 500 people. Then, you have to find out how many critiques each has given since that x date. Which again, is not automatically done, you have to figure it out on your own, THEN, you have to go to each name and read the critiques to verify that they are 'real'. Mind you, this home page loads REALLY darn slow.
Did Manic take on that responsibility? Or should I print out the list as well?
It took me days to do when I did my birthday challenge.
Well, I guess I'll print them out now and figure it out later.
I'll also do a few CC's.

Doesn't matter to me, I can send you the initial stats or do the calculation myself... Your call :o)

I can do it, since I'm partially responsible for the idea. I wanted to do something like this after my surgery, and was unable to do it. Thanks Alienyst.

hey Heather! Hope you mended well!

I wasn't going to worry about checking every critique. I was going to take it on faith and that the people that responded in this thread anyway, seemed to take to the idea. If you really want to review each critique, after the rollover I will split the difference with you. If you send me a list of photos to check, I will be happy to do it. Otherwise, the numbers are good enough for me. I was just floored when I saw 500+ in the queue and figured this would be a good way to get a good portion of them done.

I am pretty sure I sent myself a copy of the PM I sent. I will check. But at this point it really doesn't matter anymore - we are doing it.

For the record, if you didn't get it, here is the header info from my copy of when it was sent. Maybe it is a PM system problem.

Odd. I went and checked my 'read mail' 'new mail' 'spam mail' and 'recently deleted mail' and it just aint there. Maybe another glitch in the PM as you say. For future contact, feel free to use my email addy which is in my profile.
I've done a couple, but got a bit side tracked when I drew a DQed entry from the queue.
With the amount of photos that requested critique, it's definately a good time to find a way to boost those crits. Thanks again for doing this. :)

Lovely... take a break from studying and decide to do a few CC's and up pops ribbon winning Line of Shells.

Aie, as stated earlier, intimidating to say the least. Oh well, did it, and now back to Newtonian Forces :P

Next break I'll do another, and hopefully won't be as intimidating :)
12/10/2005 04:35:46 PM · #44
Well, I've been doing a lot of non-critique club ones. I guess I should do a few CC ones too!
12/12/2005 05:45:30 PM · #45
Looks like this thread got lost in the weekend rush! I've grabbed the CC stats as of today, and will work out who completed the most once I get a chance to, which will be sometime in the next few days (too busy atm)...
12/13/2005 04:52:54 PM · #46
And just like THAT, even after a lot of critiques over a short period, the queue jumps back up to 480 images...

Sounds like CC needs to advertise a few openings for willing, dedicated souls :)

Though new to DPChallenge, I love "smelling the bouquet & tasting the joy" of fine photographic vintage. Allow me to help in this worthy effort. Thank you.

171 images left in the queue guys! I've just started doing some right now. Can we make it down to 150 before rollover?

Hey, Rikki! You're slipping. I just did two, and the number is only down to 169!

I'll do a couple when I get home from work tonight.
