I'm sure this has been asked before, but what I'd like to know is, what are some options for online albums where I can show my work so that people (friends, customers, random viewers, etc)can view and order prints, even if "order" means they just send me an email saying which they'd like, and I get them printed. I know that a lot of the online print shops offer this, but which ones are good. Mpix has a 60 day limit on how long they'll keep things posted, which turns me off from them. DPCPrints sort of does what I'm looking for, but the presentation is a bit lackluster...
Any opinions out there?

I cannot say enough about smugmug (www.smugmug.com). I love the service, and there are three different levels (base, power, professional). It costs minimal amounts ($29 right now for a year, but rates are going up after the first of the year by $10). Best part though is NO ADVERTISING!!! Really, the best $29 I have spent!

I love PhotoSite, I think their presentation (and slideshow) rocks.

If you have the knowhow (or access to someone who does), I highly recommend creating your own site and using Gallery. It rocks and you have total control.

edit: Check out my website for an example. It's very customizeable. I've got mine set up so that my customers have the ability to log in and view the larger versions of their photos, plus you can supposedly enable printing via shutterfly (and a handful of similar places) though I've never done that myself...

I used to be with them, and while they are nice and free, after a certain point, they ask you to buy something. Even if it's only one print. However, I feel if I'm going to pay, I'd rather go with something like smugmug.

Also, Kodak gallery I find the actual pictures to be relatively small. And you can't change the viewing size...

But they are free for a while...

Another vote for smugmug. I use my domain name, but it's smugmug running the show:

Lots of options...

So far, I'm playing with PhotoSite and liking them okay. Smugmug looks great, but I lack the cash for them and don't anticipate having it anytime soon.
Zoto looks interesting as a storage method, but would be better if I could print from there. I suppose I could post them there and print from DPC or something when needed.

I would like to know more about Gallery...kearock, anyone?

And thanks to all!
