Here was my entry:

I thought this was a fairly well known parlor trick, but it seemed like some people were confused by it. I thought it was so well known, in fact, that I had to "up the ante" and tilt the glass. What I didn't see was that there is an optical illusion. If you look at it, the bottom rim looks like it is in front, while it really is the back rim.

Would this have been better? (either color or B&W) My wife felt it looked too much like the fork and spoon were only resting on the glass.

One thing I didn't like was the seam in the paper...

I thought this was great! thanks for posting your setup shot but I still don't get how you did it but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

The glass is hung by threads. The fork and spoon you'll have to try for yourself...

Thanks for sharing the secret Doc! I'm a little dense sometimes, especially before my 3rd cup of coffee (I think it's the bleach in my hair that does it). Very cool illusion & shot. I think you made the right choice with your entry, although the second shot is a good one too.

And fotoman: I like the wrenches the way they are too. :-)

I already know what the problem with mine was but feel free.

ALthough the last comment I received saying it didn't even look like it was taken with a digital camera. LOL gave me a good chuckle.
