It's like an anomaly in his work, the only crisp, clean, pure image in his top finishes. The "grinding nude" has some pop to it, but it finished lower due to "shoehorning sex into an industrial challenge" voters. Other than that, what we got? Cigarette butts, two examples of that...

So it's one of his few entries that "fits" the DPC idiom, and it's his highest-rated entry. No surprise.

Nice shot, too :-)

I like it a lot. Obviously, like everyone else is saying, the technicals are good, but I think it's the composition that makes it, and the contrast of the silver against red helps too. Unlike Brent, I like the hint of dirt/scratches that indicates that they have seen some use. Composition-wise, it's kind of like a flower shot, if you can imagine the wrenches replaced with [insert favourite flower here]. Flower shot for guys maybe?

Great composition, sharp and strong, and I like it.....

The red background really make the tools stand out, and I love the DOF.....

Dude this is great and I can see why it is a good stock seller for you. I like the fact that the tools are used. Great light and BG color.

Very cool shot. I really like the DOF and the lighting is terrific. This definitely earned it's spot in the top 25. Of course I've always been partial to tools.

I like the color and the composition. I think the front wrench casts to strong a shadow on the back wrench also the title of your image could use a little work
