"Wedded Bliss"
This is the night
our dream comes true.
The sparkling lights
are shinning on me and you.
This is the day
we say I do.
The journey we make
to one life from two.
This is my heart
where your love first grew.
Now take my hand
and carry it through.
This is my vow,
Sealed with a kiss
'til death do us part,
Wedded Bliss.

Wow. That's beautiful. I'm all weepy, in a guy kinda way.
Seriously, that's beautiful. It captures in words what I saw in their eyes. |

"Just Married"
Two bands that stand the test of time,
bind two hands that hold life sublime.
Two separate paths brought them here alone,
though one path will guide and lead them home.
The vows they exchange are solemn and holy,
a precious gift of matrimony.
A sacred promise to care for each need
begins with "I do" and becomes...Just Married. |

This is a really neat idea. If there are any bored poets still about, here's perhaps my most "poetic" pic:
It was my first entry into a DPC challenge. It's not my highest rated entry, but it's my favorite.

P.S. I may regret this, but would anyone be interested in some music for their picture? |

"Times Square in the Rain"
The streets glisten, from the fallen rain.
The city lights, entice to entertain.
People scurry and hurry, umbrellas in hand.
Drenched spirits, cannot ruin what they've planned.
Standing on a corner, a group is gathered.
Determined to have fun, no matter the weather.
With so many options of pleasures gain.
There is nothing like, Times Square, in the rain.

"Vengeance"
He gave his heart to her
He called her beauty,
but society didn't approve.
They called him the beast.
Aristocracy turned her love against him.
Now she hunts him for sporting game.
The dogs hound him relentlessly,
so he runs and runs,
'til he can run no more.
He turns to face his adversaries,
to battle the deadly advance.
Only to realize, he is running,
from his own vengeance.

Huh? I see words, I see pictures, I don't hear any music :-) Or is it just that I'm deaf?

I meant it as metaphor? The photos as music? :-) For the whole artistic symphony.

Sorry if I wasn't clear--I was referring to my offer to provide music to other people's pictures, and am by no means trying to rush other people to provide words to mine! :-) In my P.S. above I offered to attempt to provide music to pictures, though no one has taken up my offer on it yet. I'm a musician and have a small home recording studio, and have the capability of writing music, playing and recording it, and posting mp3's. I'm not very good with words, but sometimes do alright with notes.
(Edit to add studio pic)

Nice little studio, nordlys... i'm jealous. A couple weeks ago, i did take a poem off a similar thread and put it to music, but my recording gear is still stuck in the closet in boxes. i really need to unpack and get that in an mp3 before i forget it...
