Great outtakes arnit, I really love the sheep and the window. Might not have fit the challenge very well, but the expression on the sheep is priceless.

Thanks KD...I never knew Nana, and Pop is long gone, but I have a few things that sorta keep me connected.

Arnit,

I loved all your out takes, but I was tortured not knowing what camera(s) you used. Please DO tell! Whatever you used, those were all excellent. Thanks for showing them.

Hopefully something with a currently-allowed aspect ratio...

Great shot Paul, Nice to see you here brother.

Thanks Mike, likewise. Looks like I'll be in SoCal over the weekend of 8/23 -- send me a note if you'll be in town then...

My outtakes here

The photo of the boat was taken well before the deadline, but the color version was too dark for me, and for whatever reason, I didnt even bother messing with it in Photoshop. After the deadline, I messed with it some, and really wish I had done it earlier, as it's by far the best of the "Something Old" shots I took.

I like the architecture example the best... The exposure seems a little bright... maybe a tweak or two on the brightness and contrast would really make that one punch :)

I use a Canon EOS D30.

Brian, the photo of the boat is great. I would have given you a good score.

Well I figure there's no harm in posting these now...

My outtakes for this week

Comments are of course welcome.

Brian,

Actually, I like the photo of the old car much better-- great composition, good colors, nice sharp details for me to see everything in all of its aged glory! I probably would've given it a 9 or a 10.

The old boat is pretty good too... but it looks (to my eyes anyway) it bit dark, and its hard for me to see a lot of detail... The framing and everything else about it was great.

Scott Adams (of Dilbert fame) collects sentences that you'd probably never hear twice. I think "the expression on the sheep is priceless" qualifies. LOL

Nana Pop Roses and Candy is a wonderful photo!! I liked the iron, too, but the first is truly wonderful

Here's my suggestion and we've plenty of time to plan. Pick a point in the future when the challenge is Shoot Something at Arnits!

My goodness! You have a keen eye and, apparently, a wealth of exquiste subject matter. (Not to mention the incredible skies)

I really like the 2 windows and 22. Needless to say the two women walking is so far beyond my capabilities that I am simply awe-struck. It's inspiring to see your work!
