My girl friend, who is usually right about my photo's does not like this one, but I think it is fairly good. Give me your opinions.

I have to agree with your girlfriend...I dont care for the blue color, as it looses the horses in the photos... they are too close in tone to the shade of blue that the grass is... my eye is immediately drawn to the buildings in the back rather than the horses, I would replace the barns and clutter in the background with something thats less busy

it has potential to be a good pic, i'm just not sure about the blue tone and IMO the stuff to the right of the barn is a bit distracting

Thanks for your help. I will listen to her more, but only about photo's

I actually like the blue tone. The thing that bothers me is that the horse that is supposed to be the main subject is facing directly at the camera and it just looks odd, almost like miss piggy.

I like it, but maybe try converting it to B&W or sepia..........

Haven't you learned yet that women are never wrong?

jk

It's very mysterious. If that is the effect you were going for then I think it's good. Otherwise I'd have to agree with your girlfriend. I agree maybe changing it to sepia. I'd like to see it in that way.

I do love horses however and really love the shot dead on like that. Almost haunting.

"Monet, will you QUIT WITH THE OUT OF FOCUS STUFF ALREADY!"

Famous last words of Monet's FIRST girlfriend :-D

I think it's a good photo, but I don't understand the color toning and how that particular element of it adds to the image.
