(Not sure if this is the proper forum)

The announcement for the 48-hour challenge says it will start on the 31st at 12:00, but the timezone is not specified.

This will be midnight server time, which is on Eastern Standard Time and which equates to 9pm here in sunny (ha ha ha!) downtown Vancouver.

Midnight? I thought 12:00 AM is noon.

*grumble*

it's midnight, cause 12:01am is a minute after midnight. I've always got that mixed up too.

Just to be clear. This challenge includes all day on Tuesday, December 31, 2002 and all day on Wednesday, January 1, 2003. I was not too sure if some thought that it began between the two days as opposed to on the start of the first day. Clear as mud? At least that is how I understood it to be, am I wrong?

Would take it as all day Tuesday, and all day Wednesday, based on US Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5 I believe.) Since it says it is a 48 hour challenge, it would be more than just one day.

well I hope everyone had a merry christmas! just a quick question, as I am exhausted from the trip home and need some sleep badly... ummm.. I see there is a speed challenge, and it says the topic is obvious, but I guess I am suffering from road lag... what is the topic???? thanks!

Noone knows the topic yet but people are guessing it will be something to do with New Year. Party, Changeover, something along those lines.
