Did u use mirror lock-up?

Yeah for some - I didn't turn it on until about halfway thru the day - didn't seem to help them much. I saw the pic of the lamb and kid on your site too - that's FUNNY! :D

Didu chack out that hummingbird wedding shot in my dpc portfolio?

Yeah - I love that! I've seen it before I think. I thought it was in my favorites!

Say it ain't so! Two years and you finally have to enter a member's challenge?....Nah, you just know you look good in blue, right?

I see that - I think that's excellent! I hope you enter wide angle or at least something soon. :)

I love the city pictures - the ones you were talking about the ocean blurring, etc. They are great stuff.

Hey, now! Have you been talking to KaDi?! I wasn't exactly late this morning...I told eqsite I might show up later. :-P

It was so nice meeting you all! Everyone was super nice and so much fun to shoot with. I hope we can swing another outing before the snow flies! Eqsite, you're in charge, right? KaDi said you were. :-D

Nick - Great job on the group shot!

MeThos - Congrats on membershiphood! (Is that a word? Is now.)

Which one of you told Sarah I "sure do like to talk"??? I hate to say goodbye to new friends!

Here's my rundown:

Butterfly sis is coooooooool.

KaDi is witty - and can walk and talk fast at the same time!

Neuf is fun for the whole family!

Nick has the best comedic pauses. "we're gonna crash at your place!" "..........sure!"

N8trchik is the fastest hiker. By far. :)

Gary's a good fearless leader - when he's awake!

Dave is very nice - a kind of shy, polite guy with a definitely cool accent.

That mavrik guy... "sure does like to talk!" Jeeeeez. Who invited him!?

Brent - I gotta say, super friendly guy, easy to talk to. Wish you didn't live in CO!

Who? Me? Nope, couldn't have been me. (I told you, you have a reputation...you might want to check with our pal "photoconnections" on the origin of that!)

And here we are, again, trying to get Kadi into trouble.......mmmhmmm! I voted him into power, but, while you were hiking up hairpin turns, he explained to me that we had not exactly reached a quorum for the vote....

SO! All those who want Eqsite to be our "permanent" fearless gang leader, raise my score a point! (Or just post your preference here.)

She hopped people - actually and truly HOPPED UP AND DOWN when she clicked 8 FPS. lol

Yeah, I did, LOL!

It was sooooooooooo cool! I told Terry, my hubby about it and he just rolled his eyes and walked away, LOL!

But on the most positive side, when I came home my computer was not talking to the internet and my oldest was so scared I would be mad but after today, I didn't care. No big woop, just reset it, no problem. Yesterday? That wouldn't have been a pretty picture, LOL

As for talking, I think Mav and I have the corner on that. For someone who needed to get away from her kids today it seemed that is what most of my talking was about!

And I am going to take you up on that offer Nick!

Sorry we (Shannon and I) missed you all. Sounds like you had a great time even without us, hard as that is to believe. ;)

So did it ever rain after all those forecasts of doom?

I think it may have early on, but otherwise a couple sprinkles here and there. Nothing bad. :-)

We missed you guys!

Where'd you wind up? How was the weather?

Yeah, it would have been nice to met you all. Sorry we couldn't make it, but we did find some decent scenery and weather closer to home. ;-)

That's Neil on the left...

Thanks Jen. Looks like you found some great scenery too! The weather didn't last, and we put up with howling winds and cold drizzle for much of the afternoon. Still, it was worth it.

Well, maybe... that rainbow shot was taken about 2 minutes before I dropped my camera on the pavement and shattered the 77mm polarizer. :-(

Why is Neil running? Did he see a Leprechaun?

Because Shannon dropped his camera and he wanted to borrow mine... ;)

Or maybe I'm not running, I just walk like Groucho Marx ;)

I was just so afraid, after realising that you guys are just as crazy in real life as you are on DPC ;-) Next time I'll be prepared! (and actually bring the nut-repellant)

Sorry for the long post

Man, I crashed big time last night. I was so going to find something to enter into the wide angle challenge, but after I realized that I'd left my laptop in the car, I didn't have the energy to go out and get it, so I just went to bed instead. I'm finally awake now and realize that I've got a lot of catching up to do. Thanks everyone for joining us and making it such a great GTG. You're all a lot of fun and you definitely wore me out (in case you couldn't tell)!!!

Thanks for coming all that way Nick. It was great to shoot with you and we'll definitely be taking you up on that NYC offer.

Neuf is every bit as wacky in reality as she is in virtuality and great fun to hang around with.

Also agreed -- just kidding!!!
Mav is non-stop and a really great photographer. It was fun looking over his shoulder and watching him work. n8trchik is quiet (I guess she'd have to be!) but definitely sweet. Oh and

That would be me :-) I'm a generally quiet person and not used to so much converstation. So thanks for letting me go take a nap while you guys chatted!

So nice to see all of you today. Can't wait to check out the pics I took and will post any half decent ones later in the week! But right now my bed is calling me....

Great to meet you as well Dave. I hope you'll join us for the Cayuga Nature Photographers meetings. I'll PM you with some more details. Dave is quiet as well, but when he speaks he sounds like he knows what he's talking about -- I think it's the accent!

I had a great time as well. I can't wait to see all of everybody's shots!

I really enjoyed meeting you, Brent. Brent is a real Pro and lugged 60 pounds of gear around all day. In the few minutes I actually spent talking to Brent and the many hours I spent watching him work I probably learned more about photography than I have from anywhere else.

And KaDi and Butterflysis are always fun to hang out with, but no matter how many times you guys say it, I am not in charge!!! But thanks for all the help in putting this together. It was definitely a team effort and I'm glad it went so well.

Sorry you and Neil missed it, but it looks like you had a least some decent shooting weather. That looks like a familiar location -- glad you were able to find it. So where else did you go?

Oh you poor thing and you ended up being near the head nut most of the day, ME! ;)

You are a great listener and a very patient young man. If I was 20 years younger I would set you up with my older sister, LOL :)

Sure you are. ;-) I mean, you were just so good, we could never replace you, Gary. Besides, we know you like the power of bossing us around. :-D ;-D

Btw, I knew you must have zonked out as soon as you got home because I didn't see you online last night. Poor guy didn't get his nap. Wait, yes you did! ;-)

Thanks! That was with the 12-24mm at 15mm, ISO 100, f/16 at 1.5sec.
